Mr. Myers does a lot of defending his stance in this book. I get it, a lot of loud people with bad info need to be shut down. And when I saw his outfit in a YouTube video (camo shorts with a white polo) I realized he does have to prove his credibility. Joking aside, cutting it down and not being repetitive where not needed would've made the meat stand out. I've only had the book for two days and have yet to put any of it into practice. The concepts do not differ from online or live training I've done with other companies. However, the teaching method used in this book is going to be easier to relay to my 8 year old.

This has been amazing. I love the real science approach to hitting and not just trusting what someone says because they have been around a long time or based on feel vs. real. I know many people with experience mean well and want to help with queues that may have really helped them but, what they used may have been a "feel" that helped them get in the correct position but was not necessarily "real". I have started working with my boy and I can see the improvement in his body movement when executed properly. It is new and so when he gets into game situations he often reverts back to old habits but, we will keep at it. I will follow up later with more time and reps but, I really love this approach and would recommend this to anyone.

What you get from most hitting instructors in print or on the web is a series of what-to-do and what not to do instructions - often far too much of the latter. What Myers provides better than anyone else is the biophysical basis of his technique. For me, Myers has always provided me ways of talking to and asking questions of my hitters in ways that make sense to the players. His approach not only provides the reader (or, if you buy any of his video series, the viewer) more than one way to approach hitting processes but is clear enough that I've generated my own alternative phrasing for some of my more "difficult" hitters.

Joey Myers' CLS is the best stuff out there. He hasconnected the dots – withan explanation of how the spinal engine affects hitting, the importance of the hunch posture, the critical role of ‘X’ pattern, etc. – between Ted Williams’ SCIENCE OF HITTING and the Epstein hitting system, the pioneers in the evolution of hitting theory.

This book has offered me very simple ways to teach complex movements with hitters. Players on our summer team that I coached had an easy time understanding what they were trying to get their bodies to do. My only wonder is why is there not a section on using the lower body. How to get the hitter going in the right direction. I would enjoy discussing this with coach Meyers and picking his brain even more on this book. I would highly recommend this for any coach of any age at any level.

I love the Catapult Loading System. I have 3 boys who play baseball and they are all small for their ages. I have taught them how to hit using this system and their power has really developed.

A must-read for coaches and parents everywhere! You can’t argue with human movement principles and THE Catapult Loading System will teach you how to teach!

Myers is way out front. I’ve studied hitting and coached at DI and 3 levels and this approach blew me away with what I wasn’t seeing even though it was right in front of my face. It’s like going from earth is flat to earth is round.Dr Tom Hanson. (Heads-up Baseball and PLAY BIG)
